We offer courses approved by the California Board of Nursing.
Heart Respiratory offers Continuous Education courses in Airway, Tracheostomy, and Ventilator Management.
Nurses in the Home Health and Home Care fields have various critical responsibilities such as airway management, tracheostomy maintenance, weekly or intermittent tracheostomy changes, placing ventilator-dependent patients on the ventilator, and responding to ventilator alarms when needed. Direct patient care in relation to oxygenation, ventilation, suctioning, tracheostomy changes, ventilatory circuit maintenance, and changes are among the respiratory modalities that all nurses must be familiar with and fulfill in the patient’s home. Our goal is to provide real-life skills necessary to safely care for tracheostomy patients.
Our next in-person class will be scheduled shortly. If you would like to be notified in advance of all our upcoming sessions, please contact Marie at 888-926-5049 or Irene at 626-665-0847.
